On May 13, 2025, the University of Nairobi welcomed Finnish President H.E. Alexander Stubb during his official visit to Kenya. At a landmark event held at Taifa Hall, President Stubb delivered a thought-provoking public lecture titled “Geopolitics and the Transformation of the Multilateral Order.”

To further support IIOE National Centers in implementing localized IIOE-related projects and activities, such as certified training for teaching personnel, joints pilot projects, national and institutional events and activities, the IIOE Secretariat has developed a manual for IIOE National Centers to gain a comprehensive understanding on the functions and features of the IIOE platform, as well as on how to utilize and manage the platform and even tailor their dedicated web-page on this platform.

The  International Institution Online Education- Kenya National Center (IIOE-KNC) Implementing team held a four (4) day Digital Transformative Pedagogy (DTP) facilitators workshop in Naivasha that started on December 19, 2022, and will end on December 22, 2022

The workshop is designed to train professors from STEM-oriented faculties at the University of Nairobi in transformative online pedagogy, including online course design, effective facilitation, and innovative assessment.
