CEES UoN@50 Campaign | We are inviting all students, alumni, faculty and staff to join us for our CEES 50th Anniversary Celebration that will be held on 24th and 25th June 2021. For 50 years, the UoN, College of Education and External Studies has worked with its member institutions to deliver on the Kenyan promise of access, affordability and educational opportunity and on the commitment to serve as stewards of place in their communities. Historically, members of the College of Education and External Studies have provided access to quality educational opportunities that have launched personal, societal, cultural and economic enrichment. The 21st century finds fast-growing populations turning to our college to unlock new opportunities as first-generation students. Our members deliver student-centered education in a learning environment that promotes public service, research and civic engagement. In communities rural and urban schools we are delivering Promise, championing higher education, providing affordable access and enhancing opportunities for students who may not otherwise have found higher education possible. These alumni are investing in their communities and regions, fostering regional stewardship and economic progress. Over the course of 50 years CEES has provided advocacy, leadership and service in support of members and in the cause of advancing the distinctive mission of public higher education. Our anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate the effective partnerships fostered with the Ministry of Education (MOE) who we work together with so that students, regions and our society can benefit from the promise of public higher education. CEES @50 Celebrations will include among others alumni speeches, awards for heroes and heroines, and webinars. Please feel welcome for this event. |
